The Bulgarian Network of Untied Nations Global Compact invites you to join the specially designed workshop for  sustainability practitioners in companies and organizations! Let’s get practical with our

special guest lecturer – Antonio Hautle,

Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein.  Antonio Hautle serves as ED of the UNGC Network for one of the largest and most advanced economies in Europe since 2015. Prior to this he was the director of the Social Departments of the State of Lucerne and of the City of Lenzburg, as well as director of Fastenopfer (development NGO).

He has background in Philosophy, Business Ethics and Catholic Theology with Elève titulaire, Ecole Biblique et Archéologique Française Jérusalem and Master Pontificia Università Gregoriana, Rome and holds a Master in Business Administration from HEC University of Geneva.

Antonio is Board Member of Swiss Human Rights Institution and Co-Chair of the 2030 Agenda Advisory Group (Swiss Confederation).

What to expect?

At the end of the training, you will have got an overview of the main topics in responsible business conduct and the triple sustainability approach (economic, social and ecological dimension of sustainability).

You will learn how to start an integral sustainability journey as a company or organization and get some practical guidance.

We strongly encourage all the participants to bring their own knowledge, experience and questions into the training.

We will have inputs from Antonio Hautle on the one side. On the other side you will work in groups to discuss the challenges and opportunities, sustainability strategies can offer to innovative and creative companies and people within companies and organizations.

Depending on your needs, we will develop the training during the day. And we will give you some indications how to continue in your daily business life.

1. Introduction to ethics and business as a scientific method for critical reflexion
2. Introduction to Responsible Business conduct (EOCD), Triple bottom line and corporate sustainability
3. Group discussion „Challenges and opportunities in the Bulgarian context“: what are your challenges and where do you see possibilities? What do we need in the next weeks/months? What do we need in the upcoming two years? Where do we expect UN Global Compact to support us in our work?
4. The concept of “Transformational Governance”: a framework for the future.
5. What next and the “how to?”
6. What have you learned?

Preparation:

The success of the day will strongly depend on the participants’ active involvement. So think about the topics you are most interested in and prepare your requests and questions. You are most welcome to send them beforehand to secretariat@unglobalcompact.bg.
