Special edition from the EU NAVIGATOR SERIES, following the European Parliament latest decisions on the „OMNIBUS“ simplification package 

Shift, the leading center of expertise on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, is organising two business webinars on November 20 to discuss the latest developments on the Omnibus Simplification Package (OSP) and its implications for human rights due diligence and reporting in line with the international standards.

The webinars will set out the latest developments in the EU Parliament and what can be expected from the trilogue negotiations between the Parliament, Council and the Commission, and will include perspectives from Shift and leading businesses. In particular they will highlight potential impacts from the OSP for the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), update on the parallel process to revise the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), and the opportunities for business to engage in ways that support certainty, simplification and maintaining alignment with the international due diligence standards.
