AI and Human Rights : powering a Just Energy Transition webinar

The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence is creating growing demand for energy, data centres and related infrastructure. As businesses and investors respond to this demand and accelerate the deployment of AI and clean energy technologies, ensuring that this development respects human rights is becoming increasingly important.
The next session in the Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights series will explore how businesses and investors can finance and deploy AI energy infrastructure in line with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).
Participants will explore how companies can:
- identify and address human rights risks linked to AI and energy infrastructure;
- meaningfully engage with communities and other affected stakeholders;
- protect community land and resource rights; and
- help ensure that the benefits of the AI and clean energy transitions are shared equitably.
The session will consider how responsible business practices and human rights due diligence can help shape an AI-powered energy transition that is both sustainable and just.
